Lost Wax Casting Investment Casting Parts

Lost wax casting is now known as investment casting, is a precision casting process with less cutting or no cutting, is an excellent technology in the precision casting industry, its application is very extensive.  

Lost wax casting is one of the casting methods for manufacturing metal products, often called precision casting. The process is as follows: pressing liquid wax into pressure mold -- taking out wax mold -- assembling gate -- shell making -- melting wax mold -- roasting mold shell -- pouring liquid metal -- taking out casting -- cleaning gate and burr -- checking storage. 

In mechanical design, there are many casting methods, wax loss method is one of them.  In the past, it was used to make Buddha statues, bells, tripods, etc., but now it is used to make all kinds of products and parts.  For example, we are familiar with some products such as rings, as well as some connecting rods, cranks and other parts, are very widely used.  

There are usually the following steps:  

1、Scrape the wax and make the prototype.  

2、 Harden the prototype with cast sand, etc.  

3、Melt wax to form a cavity,  

4、Pour the molten metal into the cavity.
